The Project
The Highways Agency carried out essential maintenance work to Junction 9 of the M42, A446 Dunton Island, near Kingsbury in Warwickshire. The work started 26 September 2005 and was completed on 25 October 2005.
The work involved replacing the existing bituminous road surfacing with an anti-skid surface. We also replaced defective drainage ironwork and kerbs and carried out maintenance work to existing structures. New road markings were also put in place to improve traffic flow and safety and reduce delays and congestion.
