The Project

Work began on the 18 July 2005 to improve access, queuing times and safety on the westbound A50 between the A5111 Burton-upon-Trent interchange and the A515 Sudbury roundabout.

The GBP 0.5 million scheme was completed on 7 October 2005 and involved increasing the length of the exit slip lane and providing a new entry slip lane to join the A50 by widening the existing embankments.
