The Project
On 15 January 2009 the Secretary of State announced a new National Roads Programme with a focus on replacing motorway widening schemes with Hard shoulder Running (HSR). To find out more, please visit the Hard Shoulder Running Page.
Analysis has shown that the section between J37-39 offers relatively low value for money and will therefore will not be taken further at this current time.
