The Project

The Highways Agency is proposing to resurface both carriageways of the M6 starting at Junction 36 and finishing approximately 1.7km south. During the project the northbound exit and southbound entry slip roads at junction 36 will also be resurfaced

Work started on 3rd October 2005 and is expected to be completed by 27th November 2005.

Traffic Management

There will be overnight closures of the northbound exit and southbound entry slip roads at junction 36 to complete the resurfacing. These closures will be advertised in the local press. A diversion route via junction 37 will be signed during these times. There will be lane closures and also contra-flow with a mandatory 50mph speed restrictions in force for the duration of the scheme.

Completion

Work on this project was completed on 27th November 2005.
