The Project
The scheme involved the removal of the existing bridge deck and central pier replacing it with a single span composite bridge deck.
The works started on 29th September 2006 but had to be suspended whilst a technical issue concerning deflections of the beams was resolved. Work restarted on 31st July 2007 and was completed on 21st December 2007, at an estimated cost to the Highways Agency of £1.7m.
