Welcome to the m25 newsletter

Welcome to the M25 newsletter

Peter Anderson, Project Director Balfour Beatty

Welcome to the first issue of our newsletter about widening the M25 and building Stage 2 of the M25 Spur. This work will take about two years to finish. We will produce newsletters regularly during the project to tell you about progress.

This first newsletter tells you:

  • why the work is needed;
  • what construction work we are doing;
  • how we will minimise disturbance to you and the local community;
  • what we are doing to keep the traffic flowing; and
  • who is doing the work – and how to contact them.

Ensuring safety and keeping the traffic flowing

Our team is working hard to meet these challenges throughout the construction period:

  • ensuring the safety of the public and our work force;
  • minimising the impact of the works on the local community;
  • minimising delays to M25 users; and
  • protecting the environment during construction.

We hope you find the newsletter interesting and informative. We welcome your comments and queries – our contact details are shown on the back of the newsletter.

Minimising disturbance to you while we widen the M25

We are widening the M25 between junctions 12 and 15, and building Stage 2 of the spur to Heathrow Terminal 5. This will take until Christmas 2005.

We are working hard to minimise disturbance to you and other local residents. We will try to avoid disturbing business in the area, and keep traffic flowing as smoothly as possible. We will take care to protect the environment and keep everyone safe while work goes on.
