Introduction
Work on a new junction on the A64 at Bilbrough Top, near York, is due to start in January 2004.
The £11 million improvement scheme will make the route safer for all road users by providing new road links between the villages of Colton and Bilbrough and improving access to Bilbrough Top service area.
The completed scheme will benefi t road users and the local community, but we are aware the construction phases of the project may have an impact on local residents and the many drivers who use the A64.
This newsletter explains details of the scheme and the timetable of work. It also aims to answer some of the questions local residents and road users may have about the project. Further newsletters will be distributed as the scheme progresses, but if there are any issues you would like to discuss with the Highways Agency, please contact the project manager Lynne Biddles
