The Project
Work to enhance the safety of road users on the A27 near the Adur viaduct, Shoreham, West Sussex, by improving the drainage system started on Monday 9 January 2006 and was completed early in May 2006.
Work took place between 0900 to 1800, Monday to Saturday, on a 1.3 mile (2km) section along the viaduct and slip roads.
The improved system will help reduce water on the carriageway, with water being filtered into the River Adur.
