The Project
The A21 Medway Viaduct; located on the Tonbridge By-pass saw work take place for four weeks from Saturday 28th January 2006.
This scheme was undertaken to repair a damaged barrier on the Medway Viaduct and to repair the bridge joints on the southbound carriageway.
Inspections and testing were also carried out on the viaducts and three footbridges within the works area. We also took this opportunity to undertake general maintenance of this stretch of carriageway, including a small section of resurfacing on the southbound carriageway, to reduce the need for further unplanned road closures in the future.
