The Project
This is a scheme to carry out Lighting refurbishment and general maintenance work on the A20 Roundhil Tunnel.
Traffic Management
The A20 will be closed between M20 junction 13 and A20 Alkam Valley junction, near Folkestone, Kent on the following dates:
- 16/1/06 for 4 nights Between Mon - Fri. A20 westbound only.
- 23/1/06 for 4 nights. Between Mon to Fri. A20 westbound only.
- 30/1/06 for 4 nights. Between Mon to Fri. A20 eastbound only.
- 06/2/06 for 4 nights. Between Mon to Fri. A20 eastbound only.
It will also be necessary to close the Roundhill Tunnel on the 13/02/06 for 4 nights Mon to Thurs in order to work on both bores of the tunnel.
The off peak closures will take place overnight 8.00pm - 5.00am
For the safety of the workforce and road users two way traffic lights will be in place during the works. Drivers will be diverted onto the A259 and the A260.
