The Project

Work to improve the safety of the bridge at the A1 Crow Park, Carlton on Trent, Nottinghamshire started on Monday 6 February and was completed on Monday 10th April 2006.

Extruded concrete barriers were installed in front of the brick bridge parapets on the Crow Park rail bridge in order to improve safety for motorists and rail users by significantly reducing the risk of a vehicle being able to crash through or behind the brick walls on the railway bridge onto the rail lines below.
