The Project
On average there were 15 personal injury.. accidents on the A303 Podimore roundabout near Ilchester in Somerset every year.
Work to install traffic lights to improve safety at the Podimore roundabout began on 09 January 2006 and were expected to be completed by the end of March 2006.
The new traffic lights will reduce the number of accidents at the roundabout as well as improving traffic flows by regulating traffic through the junction.
Update
The new traffic lights were switched on and in full operation on the 28th of June 2006.
