The Project
We would like to inform local residents and motorists of three consecutive schemes that were completed in July 2006 at the following locations:
- M5 Jct 9 - Cycleway Improvement: Dec 2005
- A46 Ashchurch - Aston Cross Cycleway: Jan 06 - Feb 06
- A46 Ashchurch Junctions: Mar 06 - May 06
The cycleway schemes form part of National Cycle Network Route 41, following the A46 from Evesham to Ashchurch.
The works at A46 Ashchurch to Aston Cross scheme included the upgrading of the lighting sytem to bring it up to current standards.
A46 Ashchurch Junctions - a single scheme consisted of improvements to four junctions in the Ashchurch area that caused delays to trunk road traffic. These works consisted of new or improved right turn lanes, improvements to the traffic signal regime to two junctions with existing signal control.
