The Project
The eastbound merge of the M62 from the M6 south has been realigned with revised signing, resurfacing and safety fencing. The key benefits of the scheme have been improved journey times through the junction during busy peak times, and improved safety through the reduction of shunt accidents caused by queuing.
Work began on 18 February 2006 and the new layout was fully operational during April 2006.
