The Project

In early March 2006 we started carrying out work on the M6 between junctions 12 and 16 in Staffordshire to make sure this stretch of road remains safe and in good condition.

The first phase of the work involved resurfacing part of the old concrete carriageway between junction 12 and Penkridge, and re-cabling the existing lighting system, and was completed in late June 2006.

The second phase of the work to complete the resurfacing of the old concrete carriageway between junction 12 and Penkridge was started on 4 September 2006 and completed on 5 December 2006.

The third and final stage of the work to resurface the carriageway between Penkridge and Junction 13 started in January 2007 and was completed on 6 June 2007.
