Where was the project located?

We have now completed a scheme the A303 Longbarrow Roundabout to support the English Heritage new visitor centre.

Why was the scheme needed?

The objective of the scheme was to support the English Heritage new visitor centre and meet the change in traffic demands following the closure of the A344/A303.

What work was carried out?

The proposed works involved the relocation of the roundabout approximately 15 metres to the southwest of the existing location. We also widened the A303 westbound and A360 southbound approaches to the roundabout.

How did this benefit road users?

The works will improve traffic flows at the roundabout particularly on the A303 westbound and A360 southbound approaches.
