Where was the project located?
We have successfully carried out works to reduce the speed limit on the A483 at the junction with Maesbury Road, south of Oswestry, Shropshire.

Why was the scheme needed?
We carried out these works as studies had shown that this junction could be made safer by reducing the speed limit on the approach from the main carriageway.

What work was carried out?
We installed new speed limit signs, including illuminated signs and local direction signs. We also removed existing local direction signs, posts and foundations and renewed the road markings at the junction.

How did this benefit road users?
We carried out the works using individual lane closures to minimise the impact on road users, and by completing this work we have improved safety at the junction.
