Major Projects Knowledge Sharing
The Major Projects Knowledge Sharing Project aims to capture good practice and lessons learned across major road schemes and share this knowledge with all Highways Agency delivery partners.
Ideas for improvement are considered and, if accepted, made available to all partners for use on other projects via the Knowledge Bank.
Ideas are shared with other project teams in good faith, with an assurance that they have been successful and have demonstrated good value.
When ideas are considered for use on other projects, it is the responsibility of the appropriate project team to assess their applicability (including risks, departures, costs and benefits).
Where relevant, ideas will be considered for inclusion in the Highways Agency Toolkits
These ideas should also be considered alongside those within the Agency’s Lean Initiative Knowledge Transfer Packs.
Please read a short overview of the knowledge sharing project (298KB PDF), set-up to capture and share innovative ideas.
For a current view of this project read the e-magazine Knowledge Share Focus (1.2MB PDF).
