The V-Festival, Weston Park - 14 - 18 August 2008
The V-Festival will be at Weston Park, Staffordshire, from the 14-18 August 2008.
Routes Affected
The M6, A5, A449 and M54 are likely to be busy routes over all dates with the bulk of visitors to the Festival arriving throughout the day on Friday 15th August.
Plan Ahead
Those travelling in the West Midlands on the popular V-Festival dates are urged to plan ahead. If you are not a festival goer and can avoid the area altogether, you are advised to do so. If your journey takes you through the area or indeed if you are travelling to the festival itself, think which route you will take and plan alternatives in case of traffic congestion.
Congestion can build up quickly in adverse weather conditions, many visitors arriving simultaneously and, of course, through unforeseen traffic incidents.
As always, we would encourage you to check all traffic information available, including Traffic England before you travel for the latest information and current traffic conditions. During your journey please also check the overhead messages and listen to local radio to keep up to date with all the latest traffic news.
